Luna Park in Coney Island Celebrates Its Italian Heritage with Unique Venetian Celebration

BROOKLYN, NY, May 24, 2013 – Amusement venture Luna Park in Coney Island is beginning its fourth summer season by hosting a private event with Zamperla S.p.A. and the Italian Consulate entitled, “Venice Meets Coney Island” at Steeplechase Plaza on Thursday, May 24 at 11:00am.

The event is being held to honor Italian ingenuity in the U.S. and is part of an overall Italy in U.S. 2013 celebration by the Italian government. An Italian band will be serenading guests throughout the night, as well as two aerialists who will perform acrobatic stunts and routines around the vicinity.
